1964 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible

 Complete frame-off restoration (Actually we put in a new frame!).  All 100% new suspension and brakes (everything bushings , A arms, brake tubing etc).  Original knock-off wheels.  Original fuel injection. This is virtually a new car. After much work we salvaged the FI unit and it now operates flawlessly. We added an electronic ignition to a brand new Chevy 350 crate motor with trick flow aluminum heads, a mild cam and Doug's headers. Car has an unbelievable sound at the stop light. Pure driving joy.  Especially to blow away a Prius or four. We used 3" exhaust tubing all the way back to increase exhaust flow and horsepower. The car essentially looks like a 100% original fuelie except upon opening the hood  and upon close inspection you notice the heads and block are not original. We have retained many important original parts such as the knock off wheels ( $8k), FI unit ( $8k), original super rare wood steering wheel ($$), original aluminum overflow tank, body is orignal, etc.  Also, we have added a Hurst shifter and modern BFG tires to the K.O. rims. The car looks from the outside 99% stock, the interior is 99% stock (except Hurst shifter). But with the newer tires, disc brakes, and mildly modified engine it runs more like a resto mod. This is a really fun car to drive. And essentially all it would need to take it back to100% original is a period correct block and heads which are readily available.  Just plain old tire smoking muscle car fun. Period.
